Helping to Restore Your Land After a Wildfire
This 1,300-acre ranch had a fire run through the property in 2022, and approximately 200 acres were burned. In 2023, Cedar Eaters was called in for land restoration mulching services after the wildfire to mulch the dead-standing vegetation within the old burn area. After the burn, a year was given to allow for the ash to settle.
Mulching in a freshly burnt area is nearly impossible with the amount of dust and ash on the ground. After the settling period, the mulching of the vegetation can introduce some good organics to the otherwise sterile soil and should slow down any significant erosion from occurring.
The Cedar Eaters’ team plans to return this year to take additional recovery shots of this project and monitor its progress.
