Helping to Restore Your Land After a Wildfire
This 1,300 acre ranch had a fire run through the property in 2022 and approximately 200 acres were burned. In 2023 Cedar Eaters was called in to mulch the dead standing vegetation within the old burn area. After the burn, a year was given to allow for the ash to settle.
Mulching in a freshly burnt area is nearly impossible with the amount dust and ash on the ground. After the settling period, the mulching of the vegetation can introduce some good organics to the otherwise sterile soil and should slow down any significant erosion from occurring.
The Cedar Eaters’ team plans to return this year to get some additional recovery shots of this project and to monitor the progress.
