There is a mutual respect for what each member of the Cedar Eater™ team does and this plays a vital role in delivering a top quality service every time. As a small, family-owned business, we put tremendous value on the customer experience. From the initial contact all the way through the project's completion, we want our customers to feel understood and taken care of by our Team. Our job supervisors are land restoration experts who walk the properties with landowners to develop an agreed "game plan" to tackle their clearing needs. Cedar Eaters is the Texas expert in cedar and brush clearing. Our Cedar Eater™ mulching machine can obliterate standing vegetation quickly and with minimal soil disturbance, leaving a layer of beneficial mulch behind. The "Mulching Method" promotes healthy habitat recovery in multiple ways: Mulch helps prevent erosion of the soil, seals in moisture and helps desirable trees (like oaks) get the water they need to flourish. When left uncleared, cedar can infest an area and choke out local plantlife and native grasses. Cedar encroachment also contributes to drought conditions. One cedar tree consumes about 33 gallons of water per day. Cedar Eaters clients find that clearing cedar on their property will actually increase the level of water in their streams and creeks. Their pastures will team with native grasses again. Wildlife and cattle will enjoy the restored ecosystem and thrive. Be a good steward of your land and clear the environmentally-friendly way--with the Cedar Eater™!

With our mesquite grubbing services, we can turn a mesquite wasteland into productive grassland by "grubbing" your unwanted vegetation out by the root. We do this with two types of grubbing attachments, depending on the size of the vegetation.
Cedar Eaters has a large excavator with a specially-patented grubbing attachment and retractable thumb for those with a large mesquite problem. If you have a small mesquite problem, we will attack it with a skid loader with ROOT-N-ALL® patented grubbing attachment. Both methods are minimally invasive and are quickly becoming the ideal way to get rid of your unwanted perennial vegetation. Avoid root-plowing and chemical application and go the environmentally-friendly route.

The Cedar Eaters timber mulchers are the best application for clearing burnt or dead vegetation after a devastating wildfire. The mulch left behind adds nourishing organic nutrients back into the ground that has been stripped of all-natural nutrients, aiding in a speedy recovery process. We have helped landowners recover from devastating wildfires in Bastrop, TX; Junction, TX; Possum Kingdom, TX and Graham, TX.
We are based in Kerr County near Comfort, TX, however, we provide land clearing services in all of the Texas Hill Country as well as North Texas, South Texas, and Central Texas. Below is a list of counties that we frequent.
We will travel anywhere if the job is large enough. If you have a small job we will typically nest small jobs together in order to cover as much ground as possible within our current service area.
